| BHAVYA KOHLI, CEO & FOUNDER :: PROFILE |
- Started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, New Delhi as a Management Trainee in the year 2004, initially he had involved on a team based research book on Foreign Direct Investments into India and current global trends.
- Subsequently he was promoted as Senior Financial Analyst in 2005 at PwC, and was a key member of the Corporate Finance team in the Financial Advisory Services Division. He was involved in valuations, company entry strategy, financial model auditing/updation and preparation, company profiling, industry research for companies like Hitachi, Deutsche Bank, Airtel, GlaxosmithKleine etc.
- With an extremely successfully stint PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bhavya’s entrepreneurial spirit took over and he joined the IMI group (i.e. from June 2006 onwards till-date). He is currently designated as Director-Finance, Planning and Business Development in the IMI group. Some of his achievements and responsibilities in this extremely brief period of time include:
- Set up new group College under the name Integrated Management College (IMC) in Sept’07 within a short span of time.
- Responsible for construction of the premises, interiors, staffing, recruitment, marketing, receiving necessary approvals from Govt. bodies and National/International Universities
- Successfully established animation and MBA programmes for the new college
- Looking after the finance department of the group and supervising the marketing initiatives of the company
- Bhavya graduated with a MSc Finance from the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada in the year 2004. He also holds a B.Com (Hons.) degree in Business Administration from the same University
- During his studies at Windsor University, Canada he had received many scholarships and actively involved various activities and few of them are:
- On the President’s Roll at the University of Windsor
- On the Dean’s List at the University of Windsor
- Supported and volunteered for the NGO Khushi in its efforts to raise money for the tsunami effected victims in South India
- While at the University of Windsor, Ontario, he got an opportunity to be the Understudy with a Senior Professor and the exposure to the following topic:
- Lead team to prepare a thesis on the “Strategic Opportunities Presented By The Indian Maritime Training Sector”
- Market Analysis : Market size, number of existing institutes
- Competitive Analysis: Analyzed key institutes in the Maritime Sector
- Market Strategy : Focused on marketing strategies for foreign institutes to penetrate this sector.
